Learning to become spiritually aware

In order to be able to understand the purpose of your life, you have to first learn how to know oneself. This can be very difficult to master. However it is not impossible.

The first step is to slowly practice being in your own company and enjoying it. Letting the fear slide and to just be at one with yourself . By this I mean either in silence or creating time to yourself doing nothing. We all have a habit of saying we do spend time on our own, however we fill it with things to do or constant distractions. Be still and listen to what floats into your mind.

We spend our lives seeking approval from others and in order to achieve this, we sacrifice our own thoughts and opinions. Far to many of us suffer from the not living for me syndrome. Partly because we do not know what we want, we do not fully listen or create the stillness to speak with our soul.

Look at your surroundings and observe. First your family and the way they treat you. Are you truly happy with these parts of your life? Then your friends, relationships and work. All these are the most important factors to understand. If you realise that there maybe things that you are not happy with as they do not feel balanced, then it is important that you address it and balance the scales.

Learn to make decisions purely from your gut feeling and your heart. Never ever with your head.

The gut is where the soul tells you what is real and where you are supposed to be, yet your head takes you in a different direction and that leaves you wondering why you cannot mask over and pretend everything is alright because it isn't.

You need to become the hour glass and turn your thoughts upside down and base your actions on what your gut tells you to do.

The first step to becoming spiritually aware is becoming aware of ones unease and the causes of that by gaining the knowledge and understanding and strength to follow ones own soul.

Conformity is the earth bound shackles wrapped tightly around you.  Your role is to slowly shake them free.

When you are away from your everyday life's routines, on holiday maybe, then you will have a clearer picture of what needs to be addressed. This will give you the direction of where to apply your energy, when you return.

Receptive and non receptive beings a vast difference

Have you ever wondered why, when helping a friend or a colleague through difficult times, you feel drained?

Spending time listening and being there for a friend is important, however it is equally important that you acknowledge whether the individual is receptive.

Some will take you on an infinity loop of emotions, riding alongside them, they seep into your aura and take all your strength.

They do not want help or guidance, they merely want an audience, someone to be on their side and understand. Yet they do not understand it themselves.

During our awakening stages, we begin to see these people and their actions for what they truly represent.

Whenever I encounter a situation now I watch and observe with open eyes and I adjust my energy field towards them accordingly.

It is important to ask yourself, do they truly want to understand and progress forward, or do they look for one issue after another and remain unreceptive?

If they are receptive, give them your energy, if not pull back for they are not ready.
